Intellectual Property and Submission Terms
By submitting an entry to My Enugu Story, participants irrevocably assign all ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights in their submitted work to AFIA TV. All entries, whether selected as winners or not, become the property of AFIA TV and will not be returned.
AFIA TV reserves the unrestricted, perpetual, worldwide right to reproduce, publish, broadcast, exhibit, archive, adapt, edit, translate, distribute, and otherwise use submitted entries, in whole or in part, across all media and platforms for promotional, educational, cultural, editorial, and commercial purposes without further permission or compensation.
By entering the competition, participants warrant that their submission is their original work, does not infringe upon the rights of any third party, and that they have obtained all necessary permissions from any identifiable persons featured in the work.
All entries, whether selected as winners or not, will not be returned.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
All entries must be the participant's original work. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to generate essays, images, artwork, videos, or any substantial portion of a submission is strictly prohibited. Entries found to have been wholly or partially created using AI will be disqualified. Participants may be required to provide evidence of their creative process or supporting research if requested by the organisers.

- Entries containing false, offensive, plagiarized, or culturally disrespectful content will be disqualified.
- Participants must respect community customs and obtain permission where required before documenting any cultural events.
Eligibility
- The competition is open to young people of Igbo descent from across Ala Igbo.
- Participants must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
- Entries may feature any cultural practice from any Igbo community.
- All submissions must be original works created by the participant.
- Employees of AFIA TV and members of the judging panel are not eligible to participate.
- Past winners are not eligible to apply.
